Had the same problem.

The solution for me was to put a piece tape over the simcard and sdcard on the tray and then put in the phone.

But dont use a thick tape, just transparant thin tape.

It worked immedially after that...

Don't know if it will work for all.

But i think (maybe) that the sdcard gets pushed up, when you put it in the phone, and can't make a connection.

I contacted the people I got the phone off and they have suggested this

------------- Begin message -------------

Hello,

We are sorry to make troubles to you.

For your situation, please first upgrade your software version to V 1.6.

Then format your smartphone to factory setting, and then restart.

If it still can not solve your problem, please return back to ******

We are so sorry about that.

I have looked to upgrade the system software but it says it is up to date, would be grateful of any help, on how to do this.
Last resort I might try the tape thing.

Well, thanks to massstersvk's description of the problem I've managed to solve it. Big applause to you, sir!

In my case it didn't need soldering: I just bent the broken pin upwards with the help of a needle, as the pin was still long enough to touch the SD card contact.

Though I know it's not a solution as definitive as soldering, it now works flawlessly and I won't be touching the tray that much, so I hope it lasts for a while.
