Nothing, tried 20161009 and 20161019 as format all + download and nothing.

That's what fantastic about all models of UMi phones, they are very very nice and compliment what you wear. If you're a fashion slave like myself a UMi phone is a must have.

Last night my wife was dressing for dinner when her UMi phone rang. Yes, it actually worked! Amazing! As she was talking she noticed that her UMi really did compliment her jewery and lingerie. That's UMi for you, they design beautiful phones - only problems is they rarely work. But hey - you can't expect everything.

Well, still nothing... Maybe today or tomorrow I'll hear back from the store and I guess I'll have to send back the phone. Thanks to those who did try to help

You will need to disassemble the phone and disconnect the battery and then reconnect.

Why would disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting make any difference?

Wouldn't just turning the phone off then turning the phone on again be the same thing?

Or are UMi phones just different to other phones on the market?

I purchassed a UMI RomeX from Everbuying in December 2016 and it was functioning really well untill this week, the screen is blurred and I could hardly see the numbers or images and also there are lines across the screen. Could I get a replacement or how much will it cost me to ship it back to Everbuying or to UMI

Their only solution is that I find someone local to repair it (and they'll pay part of the bill) or send it back to them for a "free" repair, because they only do refunds or ship a replacement within a week (the store is geekbuying, not gonna buy from them again)
I took it to a tech service here (who of course doesn't know the phone or brand at all) and they opened it to check it out, but didn't find anything weird or wrong, so I'm gonna have to send it back or loose my money.

I downloaded a custom rom which is ported from an elephone based on android 6.0 and the strange thing is when i flash it with sp flash using method format 'all+download' and the phone boots up with the screen on !! It is actually showing 180 degrees upside down but at least it is working with android 6.0. The contents of the custom rom is attached. This makes me think of there may be a hidden code within umi's roms preventing that downgrade to be made successfully. I know that sounds crazy but i may have tried  100 times with all the possible options and my plus' screen just dont work on stock downgraded rom.

Tell me about your case, does your phone show something at boot? Umi logo? shows recovery? Works on Nougat but not Marshmellow?

My plus works on 20161209 and 20161228, which are nougat, and when i downgrade to 20161009 and 20161019, which are marshmallow, screen turns on and phone boots up through to the set up screen which you can hear the clicks and vibrates but shows only black screen. No umi logo, nothing. It seems that we have the same problem.

Mine seems to be worst, because I don't even have a nougat version working. Only black screen on all versions
