Thanks you very much for your post...I hope deeply that Umi will update the system to improve the Gps system...
Tomorrow i will come back at home and I will try this new smartphone...After i will try the smartphone I will give you my feed back...

I have used my new umi plus smartphone today...and I want to share with you my personal experience about this device.
I think Umi Plus is a very good smartphone...Only two action points for UMI:
1. the gps is deeply slow to fix the sat and sometimes the smartphone doesn t fix the signal
2. the battery is not optimized very well, with a complete recharge and moderate use the battery doesn t reach 24h
If the Umi will update the system changing those issues the smartphone will be surpassing with best value/price
For the moment I felt to give 3.5 stars out of five.

In the same time it is important to find in the asian website the components of the device (case and company)

I will confirm the post of Fyodor.
Today I have used the smartphone and the device is deeply slow to fix the sat. Sometimes it doesn t fix the signal (i was in the center of a big city)
I hope UMI will resolve the trouble because it is a good smartphone...

I confirm the same problem. I'm really disappointed, but my UMI Plus GPS is not working at all. Any suggestion is appreciated.
If there is no solution, I will end definitively my adventure with this phone and with UMI in general... I had great expectation for this device...

\n\n I think we all agree that the GPS on UMi PLUS is unusuable.
The blue dot indicating the current location jumps a round in the 500-1000 meters range and can't stabilize at all. UMI suggests to use the GPS under open sky which is what se do when using a GPS in the first place...they seem to be ignoring the problem and this is not respectful towards customers.

Hi Ben,
It seems that many customer actually have GPS issue on Umi Plus (me too). I'm using the device for job ( I travel very frequently) and in this condition is useless.
Is UMI going to solve it or do I have to ask for a refund to the seller?

Oh yes, UMI admins are reading this. But have no answers I presume.
