Umi Super Screen Burn Issue

Dear UMi Super users,

According to the published photos, this defection is definitely not a burnt screen issue (early OLED displays were affected but this one is an LTPS LCD screen, where that's impossible) but some kind of liquid (maybe condensed water) has infiltrated between two layers of the screen. It's probably the result of improper storage at the reseller's warehouse or at the shipping company. We can ensure you, not a single UMi Super left the factory in such a state.
You may try to carefully blow warm air (about 50 centigrade) with a hairdryer on to the screen to volatilize the water between the layers. If that's not effective (it's not water), I suggest you to contact your reseller for a replacement.

Regards,
Bence

Mhhhh , it sounds strange to me. I don't really understand how devices well boxed and protected could take humidity and even if this could happen the same thing should be experienced by all other devices of other brands stored by the same retailers..

Edited by Neeco at 2016-7-5 00:34 \n\nExactly, then there would have been "condensed water" or humidity in the box and on the other stuff as well. But it was dry, there was nothing. Also, my phone came from TomTop and I don't think that GearBest (where the OP got his phone from) and TomTop all have the same "improper storage" as bencebacsi said.

We can't trace the full path of such devices and just thinking about the possible reasons is pointless. To investigate this case would need at least to disassemble and analyze a such device. The infiltrated water was just a possibility that I mentioned. The only fact that I can confirm, not a single piece of UMi Super has left the factory in a such state.

@bencebacsi: Yes it did not leave the factory in this state, because this was not when I unboxed it. This Problem came after some days of usage

For me exactly the same.  It started a couple of days later....
I hope it will not go any further...

Dear users,

I'm sorry but this one is such an issue that I can't help to resolve remotely. The LCD seems to be intact and if the edges have changed to darker and not the center area is lighter than before, than possible the mirror film under the LCD panel has peeled off. But that's just a theory again, the real issue and its reason cannot be identified via some not too close and average quality photos.
Actually I just can suggest you to return these damaged devices for a replacement.
