hay from italy.i've the same problems about gps as many people.
for MT GPS EPO Fix need root and i dont want rooted my phone.
others solution?

in MKT i cant file EPO ,is not present under location-location based service

I repeat, GPS EPO is not supported (not used) by this model, so you can't change its settings. There's a positioning issue about UMI Touch, that will be solved by an upcoming update but if your phone is simply not able to find satellites, then the reason might be a connection problem of the GPS antenna.

The GPS has no software issues already. If it doesn't work corretly in your device, I suggest you to contact your reseller for a replacement.

So how do you explain the behavior to have accuracy of 4 meters (with fast fix) and while navigating, be constant jumps from one side to the other?

Umi Touch is a great Phone, the only problem is that we need is a good working GPS

Hope it will be fixed in the next update

I'm quite good at mending smartphones if they're in my hand but not that good remotely, when a user just tell me what he thinks to be important but might forget to mention some more important details and I'm not able to look inside his device and to connect and apply my specific tools. This is such a case when you ask a veterinary to heal your dog through some email messages. Repairmen are not accidentally skilled experts and get paid for their jobs but they can't work without their patients and tools in hand.
So I ask you again to request a replacement from your reseller if your real goal is to have a well working smartphone. My videos alone are suitable to prove that, there are no general issues about the current software related to the GPS receiver.
Of course, I still keep sharing every announcment of the UMI leadership, regardless of their content. Maybe sometimes I forget to put them between quotes.

Dear bencbacsi,

I have no doubt that you are good mending smartphones, but initially are working on the solution to the GPS problem, on the other hand the solution is to ask the device replacement.
It makes no sense, so I still ask if there is any problem with the ROM or even a hardware homemade fix, or it will be a goner.
I do not want to disrespect anyone or the work that UMi engineers develop. I think UMi Touch is a very good product, I love it, but I just like concrete answers.
