Hi, yes. 2G/3G works. And yes, same sim card works 100% 4G with LG, iphone and Samsung. I even spoke to my carrier today and he confirms that 4G is fully supported and that there must be a issue with the phone itself. Thx for your assistance.

Hi,

To rule out the possibility of an existing software error, I suggest you the flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data.

If that doesn't help, then I suggest you to contact your reseller for a replacement device. There are no such issues of this model normally.

Guys, I experience the same situation. I have 4G network running all ok, but in many situations the network shift to 3G.
My perception is the preferred network is major strong signal and not the better network, this generate not good experience in many situation.
Into the configuration have the 4G (recommended) but not prefered or only 4G.

My recomendation is change in ROM the network preference mode or add in configuration only 4G.
In fact 4G with 30% signal is realy better than 3G 100% signal.

Same thing going here:
* Phone selects 3G, although 4G is available
* SIM & carrier are 4G capable (tested on another phone)
* Transparent national roaming is not working: 3 carriers in my country merges and opted for transparent national roaming. On my last phone it worked flawlessly, now it registers me in the wrong network all the time.

I'm not too fond of SP flashing my phone, because I would have to re-do all the setup work

You can flash with SP Flash Tool without loosing your data if you uncheck the last (userdata) partition before starting the flashing process.

Hi there,

Here's a solution for you:
1. Run MTK EngineerMode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*
2. On the 'Telephony' page scroll down and select 'Network Selecting'.
3. Choose 'LTE only' in the drop-down list.
Your setting will take effect immediately and will remain effective until you process a factory data reset. So you don't have to set it again after every reboot.
Just keep in mind, with this setting, once you lose the 4G connection (by accessing an uncovered area), your phone won't be able to change to another network type, so you won't even be able to receive simple phone calls.

I have the same problem and following your suggestion went to telephony page but there is no LTE option in the drop down menu.

Dear Ignat,

Please check with a representative of your service provider whether your SIM card is 4G capable or not. If not, then you need a replacement.

I have exactly the opposite problem when it comes to data connectivity! I am unable to get any data connection except 4G!!! At the moment phone switches automatically into 3G I lose all data connection and I'm left without it. Honestly I would prefer getting slower 3G data rather than getting fast 4G but very often being left without any data whan my UMI SUPER switches into 3G when 4G is not available or is too busy. This represents a real issue for me - I don't care about speed but I care about connectivity no matter the speed. I've used another phones(SGS3, Oppo Find 9a) without any issues but UMI is disaster when it comes to data. When I have 4G(2100) it is great but outside of it, it's just death! Any solution please?

I have the same problem. But with two phones UMI touch. There are only two days since we received. I did upgrade to both. Updating was done smoothly. Still can not connect to any of my phones to 4g network
