the date from the screenshot 20160120 is surely older than the time i got the phone and i checked for an ota update and it's also the same as the rom posted here V3.01  http://community.umidigi.com/thread-2440-1-1.html
will check again when i get home as rome X is my gf's phone

This is version v3.02, the date stamp is irrelevant. I got this info from UMI today morning but I can't check myself that, whether this update is really available or not.

I have just checked and no updates are showing on mine.

Have checked this morning and rechecked again this evening.

Any particular reason why I am not seeing those updates?

Sounds like some progress is being made, although I can't see the update either. I will keep checking and report back when I get the update.

The recent info says that, the update is ready to upload, just the engineers have some issues with the FOTA server.
I suggest you to check the update regularly until you'll be able to download it.
