maybe the files inside are corrupt, try to check it first. download both the latest official and un-official rom. flash first the official one, then the un-official.

OK. You mean that I first flash the official rom (UMIDIGI S2 Pro V1.0_20180201 ROM - QGDP + SPFT + OTA release) and after try the basic one (my main goal)? I also tried with Flash Tool v5.1812 (latest), but didn´t work also and appeared the same error STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH (0Xc0070004). I tried executing the flash tool with admin rights. I´m using Windows 10 x64 and the original cable. How can you help anymore? Sorry, but I´m waiting for change to basic rom for months and today I have time, but unfortunately I didn´t make it. Thanks for you reply and support.

I downloaded the flash tool and basic rom again (from Umidigi forum). I uninstalled the mediatek drivers and let Windows 10 x64 identified the phone and use the native drivers. I tried now and didn´t work again. The same error. What can you advise me to try? I don´t know what to do more because I´m trying along for more than 4/5 hours. It´s insane, crazy and unbearable! Sorry to bother you, but I´m recurring to Umidigi forum and Youtube for urgent help. I need to change the rom from factory to this basic version. Thanks.

I did it! With your tips it worked! Thank you so much! Now I´ll start the second and the longest part: download, install and configure all apps and launcher settings. Thanks.

Hi admin,  I am having some problems trying to complete this process. Every time I try to connect my phone to my computer while being switched off I get a "The USB device could not be recognised" error message.  As a consequence, the Flashing tool does not really start the flashing process when clicking on "download". I am running Windows 10. I have tried with the Mediatek drivers installed and uninstalled. I have tried re-installing the mediatek drivers. I have even tried the alternate flashign method explained in the first post of this thread. Namely:
1. Connect your UMIDIGI S2 Pro to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.
And that does not work either.
All of this I have tried using two different c.type USB cables. Nothing.
If the phone is switched on, then it connects just fine and I can open it as an external drive.
I am running out of options here. Do you have any suggestions?

I have also facing the same issue, but SP tools still work for flashing.
Just connect your phone  with power off condition after you click the download button. The phone will recognize automatically... the begin flashing until finish.

The phone needs to be connected while off for flashing and it is then when it isnt recognised by my computer. Seems like a hardware problem really. I am going to sell it back and buy a different phone cos this OS does suck and I am stuck with it.

I'm sorry but according to my current knowledge, the S2 Pro or any other UMI OS based models will not receive further updates since the UMI OS developer team doesn't work for UMIDIGI anymore.
On the other hand, I've been using an S2 Pro as my daily driver with about 160 user apps installed for quite a long time already, but my only issue is that, skype notifications don't appear, except the notification light. I'm using the latest basic ROM, of course.
