Hello, I've bought Umidigi S2 Lite and my problem is the phone randomly reboot. I've already tried to flash it, but not work for me at all. Always got a message when try to run the flash tool as "Firmware Uprade": "protect2: Data will be lost.", but nothing change, and seems to me the upgrade process cannot start. I did it same way as I see in tutorial. Could you please somebody help me to solve the issue? I am getting furious about this brand, it is frustrating me the phone reboot any time.

Hello Umisanfan, backup up your ROM using this How to do MTK back up Droid tool.

Several of us have this problem.

You can share the backup of your ROM on this forum

Dear new S2 Lite users,
The recently manufactured S2 Lite handsets are probably built with a new type of screen and maybe other hardware components (even the motherboard) are different. The "protect2: Data will be lost." error message pops up in the flash tool if you're trying to flash a ROM on an incompatible hardware.
The MTK backup & droid tool is a very old app, it's not compatible, you can't use it.
I'm trying to figure it out what happened here and will provide a compatible ROM if that exist.
Edit: The compatible flash tool ROM for the new S2 Lite hardware configuration is going to be published in 24 hours.

Hey Ausmond. unfortunately I do not have a Windows computer, I still do not know how to make these mtk copies. OTA is the best option. Thank you for understanding and help.

Hi, check in the list of ROMs which version matches your current version (build number). The same title color stands for the same hardware version.
