@Vladium, installing version 1.1E is not the solution. @umidigi must update and fix multiple bugs and add features to the system. I would like to know why the notification led or the ambient display for example, etc etc, is not implemented. Thousands of users are waiting for @umidigi. This is terrible....

I agree with Vladium. I kept the manufaturer version 1.1 01/16. All issues disappeared as soon as I disabled completely the Google Assistant from my aacount and also disabled the battery manager.
I got a decent phone for all nowadays uses but with a bluish photo and bad video cameras, even I've got a compromise solution installing Hedge Camera and Cameringo apps. No need for another risky update, I got what I paid for (130 € my case).
Umidigi has launched 5 more models in this short time, barely we could expect they pay attention to our "old" Power3, it looks that this is this company's bussiness philosophy....

i don´t agree with you @Hipoglos. We have a smartphone (umidigi power 3) with less than 1 year old, and you mean this phone is old?. We have to require umidigi system updates to fix all bugs and add all phone features. If not, this will be my first and last umidigi. Waiting for 1.4

I said "old" because it seems this manufacturer's strategy is to launch a new model every two months, pushing its sales with all the noise and whistles but giving poor or none support after. It looks as if to keep satisfied customers is not part of theirs sales strategies.

I don't know how umidigi sells its products without being 100% finished, personally I use the notification led a lot, but there is no option to activate it, and the worst thing is that it seems that it is not even compiled in the kernel, I have installed third-party applications to do Notification led work, and there is no way to make it work. I miss the ambient screen for notifications, the double tap gesture to wake up, a little more brightness on the screen, and above all correcting multiple bugs that exist today in the system, terrible speaker sound, wifi disconnection, improve the gps and compass sensor etc etc etc.

UMIDIGI, if you can't help us with a system upgrade, at least RELEASE the KERNEL code of "our" phones.

i think at this point it's safe to say that our phone is a lost cause. note to never buy from umidigi again and please warn others.

I just came back to this forum to see the status of the 1.4 update and can honestly say I am not shocked to see that the 1.4 release that I was told would be released back in May is nowhere to be found. I think it's safe to say Umidigi has completely abandoned this phone. Looks like they also release 4-5 new phones in the past few months too which I am sure have been abandoned too.

My Power3 has been in my desk drawer for a couple of months now. I have moved on and will never look back. I would suggest everyone else do same - don't support this company's business practice of selling unsupported hardware.
