Edited by Kendo at 2017-6-21 06:03 \n\n \n\nMy phone with an upgrade to 7.1.1. Runs smoothly even though it has been upgraded over OTA, as it should be, because I think that with the SP Flash tool application the average user does not need to know how to use. I had a lot of different phones and I never needed that tool. To go back to UMI Z. On An Tutu test, the phone with such a Mediatec X27 processor and 4 GB of samsung ... and a good but relatively weak FHD screen has far smaller results than older phones with weaker processors and less ram. I hope that with the new upgrade will come better drivers, so X27 will do the right thing. I've added a couple of pictures to see the best test result from 7.1.1 where you can see that 3D applications run in the middle and when the worse result of the recommendation is low.. Best score with 7.1.1. .png 3D score.jpg .

I have 3 issue's with the 7.1.1 update:
- No autofocus while filming (also in 6.0). Is it possible to add that?
- The phone get sometime really, really hot, like 42 °C, is that normal?
- The black notification panel.
Can it be removed in a future update (if there is one..) and change it to the stock android notification panel? Just like the beta version of 7.1.1.

Bencebacsi, can you pls reply to this?
Thank you.

You can't expect miracles from the Mali-T880 GPU but if you compare the UX (user experience) score, that's in par with SD 821 phones. If you don't play 3D games, the UX score represents the performance of your device that you can experience in most cases.

No autofocus issue has been reported to the developers and the black notification panel has been requested to be removed. We'll se what happens.
42 °C is the battery or the processor temperature?

Edited by negodopirata at 2017-6-21 15:37 \n\nI don't know if it happens in other apps and games. but in Slitherio, it shows the dark area of the virtual buttons, even if not activated. The game doesn't fit on the screen correctly.

After installing the V7.01_20170601 Android 7.1.1 system software
For UMIDIGI Z via OTA the camera and flashlight have stopped working.
The camera application closes when it is opened and the flashlight, which uses the camera led, does not work. Has there already been an update that fixes this issue?

Comments

I think the OTA Upgrade is buggy and everyone should start with a clean SPFT flash. You're now on the latest build. No fix expect flash.  Post time 2017-6-21 23:02

Well it's the CPU for sure, but it's also the battery that's very hot, it has the same temperature as the CPU.

The CPU can reach much higher temperatures and that's still normal.

It's a UMi Z while its processor is fully loaded.

On the other hand, the processor's heat dissipation affects the temperature measured by the battery temp sensor. The environmental temperature also have a serious effect.
