I have not had any issues with the fingerprint functionality in any of the F1 (EU) ROM updates until now (been using my F1 since February 2019).

The fingerprint works fine, both to unlock the phone and to login to several different apps (banking apps, mainly).

I have not had to fiddle around with the fingerprint configuration, or with the registration of my fingerprints.   I registered once, in feb 2019, and it has been working perfectly since then.

I do not use any special launcher or any other type of customization, nor have I rooted my F1.  I have the plain Android 9 that comes with the F1, and I have updated every time a new OTA update was available.

The F1 has only given me a perfect user experience.   I do not have any reason to change to a new phone, even though I would really like to get an F2 now.

Yes, I tried and it also got stuck at the "rebooting" message.

But then I followed the procedure of installing a couple of .apk's (OTA5.26_noIcon_20190911.apk and AdupsFotaUpdate-new.apk, as described at the beginning of this topic discussion), and that worked as expected, and now my F1 (EU) is updated to V1.0_20190718_20190904-1829, and working fine.

Umidigi seems to have pulled the broken update, I haven't had a nag for 1-2 weeks now and when I do an update check I'm told that 20190724 is the current version.  So at least we're halfway towards a fix, the broken update has been pulled.

This is a really BIG SHIT, I try to ONLY DOWNLOAD the new version cause I had a lot of troubles with the Store app...and what is my surprise when the fucking update delete all my info and pics, and the best, is that I have a backup and I can't restore anything I don't know why...I hope you test better the next updates cause this is really annoying...

I have Nova as a launcher but even before install this I get fingerprint error. Most is 2 days without error

Guys, don't waste your time waiting. They won't improve anything anymore.
The focus is on selling Power 3 and F2, probably with very similar issues .

Umidigi has no interest to improve devices and to satisfy customers.

That's very disappointing !
