have you been successful with Arrow or LineageOS 14/15? i tried Lineage on my A3X but couldn't get it to install; mainly because of twrp. root doesn't matter to me at this point - what's the use? don't really need to tweak anything now. mostly i can suffice with the Dev options enabling.

we have gotten a lot done with this device.
No TWRP needed.
To answer your question:  I got lineage os 17 GSI a/b working just fine. along with havoc, google, Decendent X AND...the official google android 11 beta 2 gsi! (although calls dont work on the 11 beta just yet) ;)

okay i'm going to take a look into this for sure - but as far as the support goes. which version of OS has all the device features working without issues? i'm growing impatient with the crap updates provided from the company since, ya know, the BISON is soon releasing...

Havoc OS is the best one so far. Everything works but voice over LTE and voice over wifi, but that cannot be helped since we use a mediatek chipset and they don't release source code.  The headphone jack doesn't work on any of them because I believe google got rid of their headphone jacks on their phones so they probably didn't put in the code to make it work.  I haven't tried usb-c headset yet tho. probably works fine.

mmmmm.... might just hold off then. i have the 1.3 zip downloaded, but sadly not the full ROM due to the deletion from the forum. i may install the 1.3 zip and just disable the google assistant crap; that's what was causing the issues to begin with regarding sound.. haven't had the full ROM to compare and see if a full flash would have the same results with / without assistant. i may do the local update and play with it like before - i do need the VoWiFi and VoLTE. really not willing to sacrifice my carrier features for a ROM lol

update: on 1.3 right now, disabled the google assistant stuff and still crappy speaker.. not sure if i turned all the assistant stuff off or not. still looking through menus and all - haven't wiped the device on 1.3 yet; that's next. just going to see what works if it works. before, i had updated to the 1.3 ROM but after digging around in the posts, found someone that was successful on getting the sound to be okay - but disabling the assistant features. not really a big user of the google assistant stuff anyway but, sure enough turning it off worked. this time though, differnet story. i AM using Evie laucher.. besides Quickstep it's about the only solid launcher i'll use. i'll give it a wipe, clean its little butt and see if i can get anything to come out not sounding like a tin can speaker lol i'll update with findings...

Okay - got a good feel for Havoc and POSD on the A5.. finally Android 10 on my A5!! Haven't gotten Lineage to work.. but, I think I may just leave the A5 with Havoc.. my Power3 is pretty solid with 1.2.. btw followed the steps on the site for my A5; all I needed to do was enable flashing, erase system, get twrp in, then I did a --disable-verity and --disable-verification to flash the system. No hangs! I'm currently running the Havoc 3.6 20200613 ROM. Thanks for the info!
