Hi Saikee.

Yours looks a really smart theory. Hard to prove, but worthy to be explored.

I'm with 0914 FW and i use a Vodafone Powerstation modem/router.
2.4Ghz has and maintains a stronger and stable signal through the house (i tested with Wifi Analyser by Keuwlsoft)
5Ghz looks weaker and unstable, and the quality of signal seems not dependent from the channel set for 5Ghz band (but when closer to modem, of course, performs great with throughput, that's preferible )

I really hope your theory about HW bad design reveals not true, but honestly it looks not a simple SW issue.

(If true: product substitution needed or a costumers class action maybe)

Will gestures will be added to the device?
Currently the only one available is opening the camera.
But do to the notch you are not able to see the notifications, and you need to drag it down from the top to open it up.
This gesture is hard to do with one hand.
A swipe down on the screen should open the notification tray.

What FW on you currently running? I double checked with my provider (T_Mobile) last night and since my cell and data are on the network and my data is working fine than the issue is with the phone. When calls are made they are on 3G and not VoLTE or HD calling even though VoLTE provisioning and on as well as Enhanced 4G LET mode.

What we need to do is complain and push to UMIDIGI COMPANY.. THIS people are keeping making more pho ...

Apart from not able to use the 5Ghz band My phone works in every department.  Even the 2.4Ghz wifi band with 72mbps is more than my ISP can provide at the location I reside

The Z2 pro does work.  It is just not as good as its hardware could deliver.

I can say from own experience and from going to a lot of forums and pains that VoLTE and VoWIFI works without any issues on my Z2 Pro. Tested.
What I can also say on the subject is that if its not working, its either not configured or your provider does not allow it. I had the exact same thing, my provider advertises that all phones with Volte capability will work, what I found out is that they allow only the phone models they want.
So, if Volte is not working for you, you can blame one party only, your provider. Only they can fix it by flagging your phone or sim as volte enabled. The Volte provisioning flag only says your phone is capable of Volte, not that it is actually connected to your provider with volte. If they told you its Umidigis fault, they are plain and simple lying. And I dont want to defend Umidigi, their policy towards new phones is crap, but I dont think its ok to blame them for things that are not their fault.

I am now convinced my z2 pro is capable of using both 5 and 2.4Ghz and have reported in the Post #28 in the Forum below:

http://community.umidigi.com/for ... page%3D1&page=3

It needs an "Excellent" signal which some cheaper phones seem to be able to do without apparently.

Indeed that's what is needed, on every single  social media, asking for information every single time they post about their phones, when they promoting their devices...
Asking when they get their actual phones work properly and put them in a bad light in front of potential new buyers...complaining about the issues here has not the same leverage then on the public social medias

L1958,

If I were you I would take out all materials I put inside the z2 pro.  This can only be the TF card and sim card in the tray.

You then use the phone without the sim card and no memory card.  It should function normally with its own wifi.

The above test is to see the phone in the factory-supply condition has the repeatedly-reboot problem.

If the phone works normally without the sim and memory card then your phone is OK so just add the cards carefully.

If the phone keeps rebooting itself you have a defective product so send it back.
