They haven't pushed out 0830 as it breaks the camera, so stay on 0823 and keep the fingers crossed for getting last Thursday update before this Thursday!

And it was clear they were estimating it for Thursday. Rather they take the time to get it right then rush. Harassing them on dates will make them not provide dates in the future and just say "soon".  Patience if you decided to keep the phone.

Hi Umidigi team. Please can you provide an update for when the new software will be released to fix this security issue?  I have ordered a Z2 pro and am currently awaiting it's arrival so I would like to actually be able to use the phone when it arrives.

Hello all,

I received my Umidigi Z2 Pro 2 days ago so basically I had the weekend to get the feeling of it over the weekend. Today I had nothing to do I guess and I decided to restart my phone... yes I know, and well as you already know I ran into the security issue, good way to go UMIDIGI!, after doing some research I did find this forum unfortunately I had my phone hard-reset before reading the workaround posts, good thing I did not have any valuable data on the phone yet but I have read a few posts were someone already has its phone with important data so factory reset was not an option. I have wasted time already because now I will have to reinstall everything even with the android backups on google drive still is a waste of time is worth to mention that some banking services apps need the user to make a phone call to its banking phone service in order to activate such apps and again this is a lot of time wasted!. Some things in life, which is too short, cannot be compensated, remunerated, bought or whatever you want to call it and one of them is TIME.

So, UMIDIGI admins, how much TIME from the users who gave you a thumbs up by buying your product do you need?

Thursday is gone obviously and now we don't even have a reply or a release date to have such epic and enormous issue fixed. By the way the "flip to mute" gesture feature does not work at all either.

I have known people who have returned items for less than this and honestly I am wondering why we should not, I still have my old phone and after the pre sale there are a few competitors of yours selling its flagship phones for pretty much the same price.

Well after the things that don't work, volte and vowifi are actually working for me in the UK.

Same for me, everything works fine, Wifi signal, Mobile Signal, Volte, GPS, Camera, Bluetooth so basically no issues, except the worst thing that can happen, no security....
And one more thing, i cant purchase anything in Google Play, but I think I know why

I actually like the phone a lot, but its really not acceptable that after weeks of the phone being out the security issue is still not fixed. At least that should be fixed like right now, without excuses.

Z2 Pro's wifi connection is very unstable. I think that wifi has serious problems.Have not received reports from other people?

I have the same problem. After entering the password and finger scan my z2pro did not start after I rebooted. I had to reset my phone through Google on my PC. Finally I got it to boot normally and did all the setup process again. Really painful job. I have now not secured my phone lock screen and awaiting an update/fix from UMI. The camera does not work as it should really do. Low light shots are grainy and out of focus. However, day time shots are fair enough. Just received this phone few days back so have to test more and see what other faults are there. Indian buyers be cautioned that you have to pay more than 50% customs duty on this phone. I paid heavily for this phone and and now this new phone is having so many problems. Hope the company releases the OTA with all bugs fixed so that all buyers get what they paid for. If these errors are mot fixed then the reputation of UMIDIGI will fall. Hoping for the best. Thanks.
