Hi David,

Yes, that's normal and happens always even if you flash the same version again. Just do continue the flashing process without hesitation.

Unfortunately, Rootjoy updates probably won't be available for this model due to the incompatible (Qualcomm) hardware. Rootjoy is developed for MediaTek based phones.

In that case, UMI is lying to the UMI Emax Mini buyers.
In the publicity of the product is promised rootjoy and CM 12.1. This company deserves a lawsuit.

Unfortunately that was not the first case when they promised something before thinking and researching. However, to lie means that if you say something that you know is not or won't be true. UMI just promised things that they wanted but couldn't make done. So they made some mistakes, not lied. You can make the difference between the two attitudes or not. That depends on your attitude and the level of your intelligence.

Yes, you seems enough intelligent to be demagogic. A lie is when you are not telling the truth already in this moment.
The REAL companies must offer the real specs of their products, or be punished by the law. For example, Wolkswagen and their motors this year.

purchase criterion No.1: CM - 5.1 - rootjoy, but so sees support from China!!! my second china phonedeal and certainly my last!! who buys cheap, buys twice.....

\n\nYes, it's indeed not a nice way - advertising with Android 5.1 and the option to install CM.
BUT: bencebacsi worked on a workaround to get Root and TRWP on your Emax Mini. And the tool works like a charme.
Also, if you really want to, you find a way to install CM and other ROMs on your Emax Mini in the xda-Forum.
Besides, the whole phone works really fine and I've got no bigger issues with it.
(Only one is - every time I take a call, it's over the speaker instead of on normal volume without my assisstance... Everybody else has that problem?)

And maybe (I hope so) Umi finds an other way to provide us CM 12.1? Looking forward to it.

Bencebasci, it's ambiguous this current publicity if it can not be respected ...

But for me, this is not the most important , for example:
I have problems with emei which is not recognized as 4G compatible device (I live in France and my operator bridle my line  )
I also had problems with roaming in Italy without connections or voice communication .....

So...Wait and see
