How to properly flash a UMI device

Hello folks!

I did flash my UMi eMAX today, I did use ROOTJOY to perform the flash process, everything works fine but now I realize that my device still have some of the old folders and files such as the com. Folders and some obb files, it seems to me that the device is not reset properly and I would like to factory reset it like the way it was when I first unbox it, I hope you guys can help me solving my issue.

Hi Joseph,

Did you try to make a factory data reset from the phone's settings menu? That should work. On the other hand, you can delete everything with the file manager. A third option is to boot into recovery (by powering on your phone while pressing the vol-up button) and you can format the data partition there.
