You cannot push a not working update.
I mean, you've had enough time to check every issue of the new OS but you ended up sending to our phones this mess? The phone is not charging. Turbo charging is not working and even the regular one is not working properly. It even cannot charge enough to compensate screen drain while plugged.
Now, you people at UMI are supposed to work on it 24/7 and push a proper fix in few days. I cannot use this phone daily so I'll have to buy a new one early next monday, unless you push a battery fix before then.
I'm very upset.

How does one go about downgrading to Android 6? Any link or tutorial?

This explains how to load Android 6 V3.02_20161121 to your UMI Super: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5765-1-1.html

About the charging issue: this was already known. On the first post about Android 7, Ben has told it ...

The issue is only mentioned in this forum though. The FOTA update, which apparently has started rolling out earlier this week, does not mention this issue. It only says "Optimization System" and "Minor Bug Fixes" - it doesn't even mention that it will update the system to Android 7, you can only see that by looking at the update name.

In fact, I also believe UMI should not have pushed this update via FOTA as long as the quick charge issue wasn't fixed. They decided to do that and not even warn people during or before the update so now they'll have to deal with the backlash.

I myself will stay on MM as long as the issue is not fixed and as long as there is no xposed framework available for Nougat. But yeah, customers will be angry about this issue - UMI should not have pushed the Update via FOTA with this major bug intact.

About the charging issue: this was already known. On the first post about Android 7, Ben has told it. Just go back to Android 6 with spft. It's done in a couple of minutes. I agree that hey shouldn't have pushed the ota.

I agree, keeping in mind other AAA brands are having the same and more issues (Motorla, HTC, Samsung, ... you name it).

Issues like this can render a phone useless until it is fixed though. My device now takes 4+ hours to fully charge.

Quick charge is one of the main reasons I bought the phone and now I have to go to work with 20-30% charge. This would not be an issue under normal circumstances, but ever since upgrading to Nougat, the phone discharges much faster (especially when using Bluetooth).

I hope this issue gets fixed asap.

Cheers,
Ocean

Nope, I won't downgrade to V6 by myself. I don't want to mess with the phone with 3rd part apps or such. UMI should or push the downgrade to V6 or push the battery fix. And I mean, NOW. The problem with the fast charging is not "known". People upgrade via FOTA trusting it's a well tested official firmware THEN realize the battery problems. The only people did know about the problem was UMI's. I bought the Super because of the battery's capacity and fast charging and now I'm sticking with an useless phone.  I'll wait till monday for an official pushed fix then I'll buy a Zenfone 3 and throw the UMI away.

Yea, if you open 7.01_20170123 rom's page it says in red "Known bug: Fast charging still unstable". But if you open the update manager it doesn't say anyting. Which is very catchy, if you never read that forum. Releqse better version, and upgrading. I downgraded on 6 20161121.

Factory reset won't fix the problem.
