Hi, i'm a proud owner of an Umi Super and it worked fine, today i saw a post of a Beta Umi Super Android 7 Rom (the file name was Umi Super Android 7 and it was on NeedRom, after decompression the folder of the rom was 20161021_c239v55_kw_u3)

so i tested it but after the flash process finished i had my bootscreen reversed and with some gray and green lines over it,

i waited but never pass from that screen.

I followed the instructions suggested to one user on this post:

http://community.umidigi.com/thread-3563-1-1.html

and after selecting Firmware update and connected my device (v5.1640 using the rom 20161017_c239v55_kw_u1.rar)
the flash process ends and gives me the green check but after powering on my phone everything still the same.

I tried going back to NeedRom to look comments or something about the ROM to solve errors, but the post was erased

I've tested several roms but only the same result, also i've tried to install a custom recovery and the flash process goes ok, but when i start
the phone with power+volume up i got a black screen

Also trying to install the very first rom gave me the error attached

Please someone help me to get my phone back to the land of the living

Thank you for your time

Hi,

You just flashed the first Android 7.0 beta ROM for UMi Plus on your UMi Super. Any Android 7.0 beta is not yet available for the UMi Super. You can find each ROM version here on this site, so please don't flash your phone with non-certified ROMs. You have just lost your warranty now.
In such cases, when you've flashed the ROM of a different model on your phone, you can reinstate your device by a 2-step flashing process.
Download the latest ROM from here (and never from needrom): http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5060-1-3.html
First time flash the preloader only. That is very important, ONLY the preloader partion at the first flashing. Then after finished, flash everything with Firmware Upgrade. Don't choose Download Only or Format All + Download!
After you finished, you might need to restore your IMEI numbers with the SN Writer Tool.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply, also thanks for the advices.

I followed your instructions step by step but i keep getting the Umi boot screen with graphic problems, so,
maybe i'm doing something wrong, and again, asking for help.

I downloaded the latest rom from the post you gave me: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-5060-1-3.html
and run the Flashtool, selected the scatterfile for that rom and then unchecked everything except the preloader
hit download button and connected my device power off, the flashtool detects my device and start the flashing
process giving me this (preloader attachment):

then i unplugged the cable from my phone, and without turning it on, i checked all the other boxes and selected
"firmware upgrade" and hit download button then connected my device again, flashtool detects it and started
flashing process and finally giving me this (firmwareupgrade attechment) :

after that unplugged my device and turn it on to find my bootscreen the same, waited 6-7 minutes and it only get worse in graphics.

Hope this can be solved, and again, i'm very grateful for your response and time.

Also:

If this helps, i followed the procedure with the SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1640,
the preloader goes well, but the part of the firmware upgrade i got the red download bar stuck on 100%

so, i repeated the whole process with the SP_Flash_Tool_Win_v5.1552
giving me no problems but giving me the results of the post above, bad graphics boot screen.

Hope you can find this info useful. Thanks again.

Edited by jobias at 2016-12-5 07:35 \n\nHas anyone been involved in something similar?
I've been testing a lot of things the whole weekend, and also i notice something:
My flashtool detects my phone when i plug it whitout pressing any button and also detects it when i plug it pressing the Volume + button
but it makes the flashing process very slowly with the volume + button and it the end it fails and gives me the same error from the first attatchment.
In the other hand, when i make the process without pressing any button the flash goes faster and don't give me any error.

I tried making the process with a lot of different roms and different Flashtools but no one seems to work.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks!

Edited by jobias at 2016-12-6 08:24 \n\nWell, looking that no-one else could help me, here's what i did to recover my dead umi super, don't know exactly what it did the job, but i'll post every step and then my conclutions at last:

I waited til the phone couldn't be turned on because of battery level = 0
then i plugged it to my computer to be sure that it was still detected and then, i noticed that the stock image of the empty batt was replaced
with one with green colors and something like a butterfly or something (was very weird in my opinion) but this gave me the clue that it was battery empty so, in a thread, helping other people with the secure boot img, i looked that admin told one user that Umi Max rom was the same as umi super, so for avoiding issues with one update he could flash that rom:

http://community.umidigi.com/for ... peid%26typeid%3D168

so i downloaded that rom and its respective flashtool then

with the latest flashtool i flashed just the recovery of the latest umi super rom scatter file, closed the flashtool
opened the respective flashtool of the umi max rom, load the umi max rom scatter file, unchecked the preloader
and with "download only" i proceed with the flash.

then i unplugged my phone and plugged it to the wall charger, and noticed the previous empty battery was changed to the classic
charging off animation, but it was stuck at 0%, so i was a little worried, left it charge about 15 minutes, checked again and it still was on 0%
so, while charging, powered it on recovery mode holding Volume+ and power and it showed me the android robot, (this was a very nice 'cause all other tryings to enter recovery gave me a black screen) after that i power it off and on again and... voila!

it passed to the android logo and booted the system.
In conclutions, don't know excactly if was the Umi Max rom that recovered my phone, or was the fact that i let my battery went to 0% and then flash, maybe both,
but still hope this info can help someone like me.
