Edited by jackdierippe at 2016-6-26 21:36 \n\n@iqb0431 : I'm glad for you to see that you are happy with your battery life, but I only read switch off, switch off, switch off...
I think in 2016, with a 4000 mah battery, we should not have to use all old battery tricks coming from the beginning of the modern smartphone era.  I used to do such things on my S1 or S2.
A bit tweaking is ok, but cutting all functions down which represent the identity and advantage of a smartphone makes no sence. The User should not always have to think to switch on or off a function when he needs something from his device.  I think some functions are basic and should stay basic.
Btw. I reach nearly 48 hours with 6 hours on screen time only with cutting Wifi and bluetooth off at night.

I agree with jackdierippe. Shutting all the good things is just boring. I rather charge it everyday and get functionality.

Your phone is now officially a Nokia 3310  HAHA

Good battery tips there! - 4 days is possible but with some serious tweaking!

Battery life really good!!! Nearly 4 days!!! Very pleased. I rooted the phone . below are some of the major changes I made. Tomorrow I will update with a full list of tweaks to extend battery life.

1. I turned wifi scanning off, switched my mobile connection to 2g, and when ever I needed fast internet I changed it to 3g.

2. I installed kernel toolkit and set the CPU governor to powersave which made the phone a little slower, OK for normal tasks WhatsApp,texting phone, camera, email etc but for games i switched to interactive governor

3.  I installed greenify and whitelist my common apps, what's app for example. I made a shortcut for hibernation on the main screen and used that to lock the screen and hibernate.

4. Keep mobile data off and wifi off Bluetooth off when not needed

5. Location off useless GPS needed

6. Auto screen brightness

7. Deep cycled the battery twice and did a battery calibration

8. Disabled vibration on keyboard and on navigation buttons and dialpad touch sounds, touch sounds, screen lock sounds, vibrate on touch

9. Switched from screen to manual navigation buttons( unsure if this effects battery life??)

10. Not sure if the phone for into deep sleep mode, can't find a app that tells me the used CPU States so I installed
Deep sleep battery saver to force deep sleep

11. Disabled harlequin notifications

12. Sleep display after 15 seconds

13. Disabled automatic sync

Ok , download battery calibration. Full charge phone before go to bed sleep, then run app, click calibrate with phone charger conected, then disconect it, reboot .

Before all you need to install and program an app to block some other apps to run on start. And then ever you open you need to go Settings / apps . . click them and click force to close it.

You can also enter in Programmer mode( google it ) and choose option 4 process´s, or none . . if you dont need it at night . . . this will limit number of process open. I thins android 6.0 dont need this because it already do it.

ok in the morning the battery lasting predicition will be 9 days or more. . .
