Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help on this matter.

I am repairing a UNI eMAx mini phone for a friend.

The phone as running very low on internal space whislt being used, updates were being applied to apps thn all of a sudden the phone turned off.

Now when the phone is turned on it gets past the initial UMI white screen then gets stuck on the black screen showing the android logo.

I could possibly try flashing a revised rom but from wht I understand this will delete all user files including photos.

The photos are what I need to get off before flashing really, any way of doing this?

Or suggestions on how to get the phone to boot fully so I can backup normally.

Things tried so far:
1. Totally drain the battery and full charge.
2. Remove and reinsert the battery.
3. In the recovery menu  - clear cache.
4. In the recovery menu - force power down and reboot.

There are other option int the recovery menu but not 100% sure on how they work exactly and whether any option will remove user files including the photos my friend needs to get off.

Thanks

Simon

Dear Simon,

Please, try to install TWRP recovery with the following tool, starting the installation while your emax mini is on the black screen with the android logo. That will work only if USB debugging was previously enabled. In TWRP recovery that's possible to access the internal memory by the same way (MTP device) as it's possible when the Android system normally runs.
