Hi, I've the GPS fix issue. My phone can find 22 satellites and the fix is pretty fast but when navigating the  navigator apps (Sygic, here maps and other ) takes too much time to fix the signal and can keep it only for few kilometers. The speed is very imprecise, it cannot follow the real speed... so if my car is waiting at the stop, it says 15kmh and when my car speed is 80kmh it says 40kmh. I'm a repairman and already checked inside the phone, cleaned the antenna contacts and fixed the screws, but nothing. The video doesn't  prove the good working of gps beacuse is only for some minutes and you could have a better signal in that place. I think all device are affected this problem so the replacement with a new one is only a waist time without the phone in your hand for months.

Clearly there is a problem with GPS, it is not accurate (on the way the site jumps constantly and you find yourself on the road ... next to the one where you really are).
For me it is not hardware but software ...
So we have to wait for UMI want to finally do something, and as rootjoy is abandoned we will not have to custom rom to fix the problem.
Heartbreaking.

To prove that we are not just making this up I have taken a screengrab from my phone whilst I was on a long drive from Cornwall.

The cruise control in the car was set to 70mph (113kmh), and as this is the UK we drive on the left hand side of the road. Now the GPS raw position (indicated by the blue dot) is  all over the place. IT usually starts drifting away in one direction and then slowly comes back and goes away again.

This is not so much of a problem on the motorway, but in the middle of a town on tiny roads sometimes it thinks I am on an other street and then it all becomes messy...

But even on the motorway when there is a road close enough it jumps me there, and than the sat nav starts recalculating the route and tells me to turn left right etc... and then suddenly I am back on the motorway.

Additionally due to the position moving all over the place overspeed warnings are useless - just check the current speed indicated by the satnav - as I have written above I was doing constant 113kmh...

Dear Tomasz

GPS EPO is not supported by MediaTek's MT67xx Soc family. Are you sure, this solution worked for you?

Yes for me it wo ...

Although I really wish you to be successful at resolving any of your GPS issues, I'm wondering how you could operate with the EPO settings if they don't exist.

Working with MTK Engineer Mode doesn't need root access. You can call it by dialling *#*#3646633#*#* and can play with the YGPS app.

Maybe that would've been enough to just restart the A-GPS in the YGPS app in your special case. Normally this playing with the engineer settings is not needed to get such results in this GPS Test app.
