Hi UMIDIGI community,
This season I started a small vegetable bed, and my phone has been the most useful gardening tool I own. The first thing I did was research the best fertilizer for tomatoes and peppers , and I saved the key points in a note so I could check them in the garden without searching again. The general idea I took away is that young plants like a balanced feed, while heavy fruiting plants usually need less nitrogen and more potassium and phosphorus, since too much nitrogen gives lots of leaves and fewer fruits. I also use the camera every few days to photograph each plant from the same angle, which makes it easy to compare growth and spot yellow leaves early.
A few other things on the phone have helped a lot. I set repeating reminders for watering and feeding so I never double-feed a plant, I use the notes app to record the date and amount each time, and I check the weather widget before watering so I skip it if rain is coming. A small clip-on macro lens also helps me look closely at leaves for pests. Does anyone else here use their UMIDIGI phone for gardening or home projects? I would love to hear which apps and camera settings you use. |
