Hello all,
This is my first post on the website and I hope an experienced person can help me with this.
Whenever I'm recording audio, the recording sounds much like it was recorded under water (both on audio recorder and the video cam).

This is inly the case when I'm trying to record something that is not a voice (the recorded sound of a voice is ok, but every other sound is messy). I used the engineer mode to fiddle around with the mic volumes, but those didnt work out at all.

I was thinking I could maybe grab the audio lib files from the normal umi hammer to see how that goes. Can anyone confirm this will not brick my device? (Its mtk 6735 and 6735p)

Also I've been trying to create TWRP using porting software. The problem is, is that the recovery itself is larger than the partition size the scatter file has allocated for the recovery to be flashed on. I tried changing the partition sizes in the file, to no avail.

Any help for this would be greatly appreciated. I think it's a very decent device and since the MIUI rom is taking way too long to arrive, maybe we should start trying some development ourselves.

Regards,

Hi,

replacing the lib files can brick your phone but if that happens, you can recover it by reflash the ROM with SP Flash Tool. Did you try to flash your TWRP with SPFT? Could you provide it here?

Regards,
Bence

I haven't tried flashing it through SPFT. The tool in the link comes with a flashing method on it's own. I believe it's a lot easier to just send you the link so you can see for yourself. So far I've only ported some roms for my previous phones, so this isn't really my cup of tea... (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798257). When I tried flashing through the software (not SPFT), it returned an error. The TWRP recovery that was in the port folder was only 3mb in size so I don't believe it's a complete port recovery (should be at least 5 mb I think?) Again, this is not really my cup of tea! please give it a try yourself and return your experience?
