Let´s make a thread where we can discuss bugs and potential workarounds.

Known bugs

Some users reported touchscreen sensitivity issue after the update in UMI Z/UMI Z Pro especially in the upper part of the screen. I strongly suggest reflashing the ROM with SPFT as it fixed the problem for some users. The cause of the issue is yet unknown. The developers have been informed about the issue and they are currently investigating possible causes.
Some users reported issues with roaming in both 7.1.1 ROMs, so far the cause of the issue is not known and is discussed here (http://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=12561&pid=65391&fromuid=260975)

Workarounds
General troubleshooting
If you updated your phone with the OTA and you found any issue with your phone, you should reflash the ROM using SPFT tool. Due to the nature of OTA updates there is always a chance the system files might not be patched correctly leading to bugs and glitches. If the issue persist even after SPFT flash please report it to the forums.

User reports

An issue with users not being able to use mobile data connection after using wifi on some network carriers was fixed
The GPU drivers were most likely updated, some users reported improved benchmark scores and fixed graphic bugs in several games

Black notification area
This is not a bug rather a feature as stated by UMI to improve readibility. It is on by default. You can change it to transparent by rooting your phone and change ro.kw_black_statuspanel to "no" in the build.prop file. It is located in the system/build.prop and I strongly suggest backing it up first, or use a 3rd party app to make modifications.

Edited by Medard22 at 2017-7-17 13:59 \n\nAafter the update FolderMount stopped working for me, the symlinks are not properly created. I have already sent bugreport to FolderMount creator and I will investigate the issue further.
Also ever since the original release I can´t choose a mp3 ringtone without assistance of 3rd party app. The system is not scanning the Ringtones, Alarms and Notifications folders and they don´t appear in the list of the ringtones in the settings. Just a minor annoyance but it would be nice if it could be fixed.

On the other hand I can confirm improved radio signal strenght, improved bluetooth connectivity (especially with my BLE smartband), S-view cover unlock bug has been fixed, also according to preliminary Antutu test the performance has improved a bit.

Bonjour,
Je n'ai pas encore reçu la mise à jour mais est ce que il y a une amélioration de la caméra avant et arrière et peut on enfin l'utiliser normalement sur snapchat, instagram... Sans que ca zoom la video et que la photo ne soit pas noir après avoir prit la photo. MERCI d'avance

Hello if you are currently on the V7.01_20170601 you have to install the update manually from here http://community.umidigi.com/thread-12561-1-1.html
I don´t use Snapchat so I am not sure if the bug was fixed or not. A similar bug was present with google cardboard but that seems to be fixed.

Un bug semblable était présent avec le Google Cardboard, mais cela semble être corrigé.

According to the update info the first Nougat release was eventually downgraded to public beta. Because of this the update has to be applied manually - check the description here http://community.umidigi.com/thread-12561-1-1.html

I can confirm that the touchscreen issue is just an affect of a corrupted OTA. I flashed the latest ROM with SPFT and unticked the "Data" and "Cache" sections so I still had my data. I also rooted my phone because I was already using SPFT.

No, it isn't.
I updated trough the .zip and I had the issue.
After reflashing with SPFT, my touchscreen is still very bad

The .zip is an OTA. Try completely reflashing and not keeping your data (just back it up.)
