Original content has been removed!

Dear Umi Users,

Due to the many fake requests and spams sent to the given email address and since our contracted freight companies refused to ship bare batteries, this thread is going to be closed and a new form will be provided, that each user can fill in with the required data. According to the data you share with us, UMIDIGI will manage to replace all defective devices via the retailers.
UMIDIGI is committed to help to resolve all issues caused by our products but since we are still not able to eliminate the borders between countries and continents, all off the needed steps might need a longer time to be processed and can cause some addtitional costs to the users. So, we sincerely ask you to manage your warranty issue with your seller as you'd do it in the case of any other purchases of yours, and we supply the retailers with all the needed spare parts, replacement devices and fees needed to cover the whole process.

Please kindly fill in this form, we will help you to solve the replacement work!

In the midst of so many people who sent the email to UMIDIGI to solve the problem, only two people r ...

I have received an answer too (after a week or so). To contact my seller instead. What I was doing, but left since the prodicer seemed to take care himself.
Well, now I have send it to the seller, who will most probably ressend it to the Umi. Almost a month lost, the seller says it would take another 2-3 months... I am ordering a new phone meanwhile, roughtly at the price of the couriers I am going to pay for the repair process. It won't be an UMI.

Please change the heading to "UMI Z AND Z Pro users".... The Z Pro has the same battery and in my case the same expansion issue. I'm sure I won't be the only one....

Day 5 and no reply....beginning to loose my patience now and getting angry.

I'm getting promotion emails for the Z1 about every day though. Today something about battery safety "the safety dance...)...come on!!, don't make us laugh! There is no proper testing being done on the batteries and lets be honoust... It's not a batch of 20 that is faulty because I could answer 20 emails within an hour easily and so could Amy from customer "service". This shouldn't take 5+ days!!

Why is it that no one is getting a battery from the factory while you say they should? DX, Banggood, gearbest, aliexpress sellers, customers direct....no one can actualy realy get a battery!

I think I'll be starting to post reviews soon with interesting pictures of bloated battery. I'll take my losses and will tell not to buy any Umi product. I'll make sure to reach as many people possible.

Usually means not always but usually. Since we receive the most requests on the first days, some d ...

Ok, thank you for your honousty ...small company... If you want to grow big then think and act big also

At the moment I can wait because I'm using an old Iphone but of course I want the issue to be solved asap. I've already created a request with DX but had no reply yet from them either.

I've opened the phone to get my sim card out (the tray was stuck because of the expanded battery). Because I had it open anyway I have taken out the battery to prevent it from damaging the phone any further. Just before I opened the phone it was still working fine so I'm only in need of a new (and safe!) battery.

Can you let the affected customers here on the forum know if the replacement batteries are in stock or if that there is a leadtime?

This email stands for a UMIDIGI representative who is responsible for this exchange program, so yo ...

To be clear about this.... I should get a response within 2 working days, right? In my case the second working day is already gone in China so why haven't I received a response yet?

On another note you've stated that...I quote "Usually we can arrange to ship a new battery in 2 working days after your request." So I should actualy ask if my replacement battery has been send yet!

I have been promoting Umidigi phones for the past 2 months because I was extremely happy with the Z Pro. Umidigi has great potential to become a steady phone selling company world wide. You're bringing great feature phones to the market for competitive prices. Now I'm sure things like this battery issue happen with big companies also (e.g. Samsung) and is of course bad for business. The only way to minimize the consequences is to deliver spot on support to those customers affected. You've been talking about "she will respond to your emails". Now this leads me to think that only 1 person is working on these cases. Shouldn't Umidigi put a team on this to help affected customers asap replying to emails within hours and sending out replacement batteries within a day?! I've put promoting you're products on a hold and was going to buy a batch of phones for friends and colleagues which I've put on hold also....obviously.

Another thing.... There is no way to tell if a battery is from the affected and faulty "batch"....So how do you know that only a batch of batteries is affected?

Ok, I think you can make a negotiation started by sending your details to the given email address. You can take a photo of your phone with its removed battery placed on its top, then ship only the phone, without its battery inside.

What about a third option.
We send the phone back to UMIDIGI undertaking the cost ofshipping.
We additionally pay a logical amount, determined by UMIDIGItaking into account the aforementioned shipping cost, and UMIDIGI send back abrand new Z1.
From my point of view this is a win-win agreement.

Hi,
That's possible if your Z is non-repairable and the Z1 is in stock at the moment.
