Custom kernel for Umi Z?

Hi! Bought Umi Z while ago and rooted it already. Just wondering is there any custom kernel for it yet? I want to try undervolting the CPU and testing this this phone with overclocked CPU and GPU speeds.

Eventually UMI could release kernel sources, or even full stock ROM source code as Vernee did. Now that would be awesome.

I think the kernel support and drivers for X27 are still a bit work in progress. The development of Android 7 ROM was pushed back because developers were waiting for patch from MediaTek. Also I don´t think it is that simple to get kernel sources from MediaTek, so the kernel sources and binaries would have to be released by manufacturer (Umidigi). Until they do so there won´t be any custom kernel development.

This is the main problem of the Mediatek SoC IMHO!

Mediatek dont make Source code and kernels of her SoC public, so we dont get the advantage  of a different Android like CyanogemMod and others....

So we must stick with this poor, simple and bugged Android from UMI!
