How do you root the non rooted Umi eMax roms?

I had no idea that the optional roms you supply for putting on the eMax were not rooted. This makes it impossible to use another rom until you root the device again....but Rootjoy has no facility to root any rom(which is stupid considering it's name is ROOTjoy....). How do you root the unrooted roms?? Do you have any software to download to do this on Rootjoy? Or are we on our own after trusting that Rootjoy would work???

Nope, I tend to flash directly on the phone where possible. Rootjoy is good for UMI roms, it what it is meant for. I'm sure you could use another, rooted rom, though, can't see why not.

Hi,

What happens if you try to flash with Rootjoy on another ROM ? did you already try ?

I have flashed with Rootjoy firmware 3.10 for Umi Zero downloaded from needrom. Flashed with no problems.

Hi friend! I need flash my eMax stock ROM by SPflash tools, bcoz when I install Oppo color OS by RootJoy , after that I tried several times by RootJoy, It saying now not supported, So friend give me the process and required tools for flashing. It will very help for me. Thanks

I have used iRoot which tells me my phone is now rooted.

Then I press the "Complete"-button in iRoot and it tells me it is NOT rooted again a.k.a. piece of shit software.

So how do I root my eMax? Please put a detailed manual online!
