Answer phone call without manual unlock?

When receiving an incoming phone call, my UMi Plus E displays the PIN Pad unlock screen - i.e. I have to manually unlock the phone before I can answer the call. This leads to some calls being lost because I have not unlocked quickly enough.
How do I set up the phone so that an incoming call either automatically unlocks the screen or at least can be instantly answered without unlocking?
