Today i've got my Umi Plus E ...

As i see Umi has to do a lot of Homework ...
Camera is really really bad ...
No Android 7 out of the Box on a 2017 device - update maybe in Feb. 2017?  
No fully working TWRP (Yes, i think thats a Homework for Umi because Umi want to get more Customer and a bigger community)
And - but thats an additional thing - CM Versions for Umi Devices (not only Super)
If a phone Supports CM / Lineage there is also a bigger Community and more people who want buy this Phones.

I also have a Umi Max (still no update for Android 7 - bad camera ... but on a 120€ device - so what ...)

So Umi, pleas stop spamming the market with new phones and pre sales every month and first fix your bugs and problems on existing phones.
Also the whole cummunity are asking for NFC Support - why don't you add this feature to your Phones?

I hope there will be a fast update for Umi Max and Umi Plus E and i hope the Camera will be much better with the next update.


P.S.: How can we get the Source code of the Firmware and Kernel? Its Android - Its Linux - Its GPL - Its Public ... etc.

I started to use the phone. But after the first boot-up, it started to create a problem.
I perform a factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)." But after that, the problem remain the same.
Then I did the Wireless Update to the latest UMI Plus E.V3.01_20161217.
But again, the problem remain the same.

- it switches off by himself frequently, I have to do a hard reboot to use it again.
- If the phone bootups after some time of using its started to black out again and I have to restart all over again.
- The phone is not booting up in one try, I have to try several times to boot it up. And it's not staying in that way.
- The quality control of UMI is very very poor. If a brand new (Flagship) phone that's got this kind of impressive specs (Helio P20 2.3Ghz , 6GB RAM , 64GB ROM , 256GB extend memory, 4000mAh battery, PE+ fast charging, Front Touch ID, USB Type -C, 4K video recording.) but fails to perform, this is very disappointing and frustrating.

Once a admin on this forum promised us Cyanogen  Mod, but where did that go??????

You can not get the sorce code because of MTK. Umidigi has nothing to do with this problem.
