Edited by jcmarseille at 2016-8-27 17:51 \n\nI'm very surprised: I install CPU-Z on my Super andthe SoC is identified as ARM Cortex A53 1.95GHz !!

Is that normal ?

MTK manufactures ARM designed chips, most mobile chips are designed by ARM

The ARM Cortex A53 is a CPU but the MTK MT6755 is a SoC (System on a Chip), that contains almost the whole hardware system with the GPU, memory controllers, IO devices, etc. So a SoC is such like the motherboard of a computer with the CPU and graphics card. On this "motherboard" there are ARM Cortex processors installed. So technically that's incorrect to call a SoC (MT6755 in this case) a processor or CPU since it's much more.
