I cannot make a call without restarting the phone. Can this be fixed by an update?

Hi,

I suggest you to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data. If your issue is caused by a software bug (never heard about a such case before), this process must resolve it.

Thank you I will try it but I have never flashed the ROM before - is it advisable for me to do so?

It doesn't need special skills and not really dangerous. Just get through some of the guides and do it bravely. The whole process needs just a few minutes.
