Hello together,
I just received my Umi Super phone but it doesn't recognize any Cards, neither a Sim nor an SD card. If I put in a SIM card on either of the slots, it just keeps saying "SIM card is not inserted". Installing the latest fota and doing a factory reset didnt work. Anyone who can help?

I had a similar problem on mine after a SIM card change, and I found that I had to go into 'Setup' and do a Network provider search, or whatever it is called.

It then found the one which corresponded with the SIM; I selected it and all was well again.

The network scan Option is grey so i can't select it, but i found out, if I enter flight mode and then turn it off again, it recognizes the sim in both slots and asks for a pin, but only for a second, then the pin Window closes and it says no sim again. So at least it doesn't Seen to be a Hardware Problem.

Hi,
It can be a physical connection issue (so somewhat hardware related), especially if you use such SIM cards were used in another phone for a longer time earlier. I suggest you to (while your phone is powered off) pull out and push back the SIM tray with your SIM card in it a few times to remove a possible oxide layer that can prevent the proper connection. I that doesn't help, process a factory data reset.

I did what you said, the oxide layer wasnt the Problem though, still the same issue. Factory reset didnt help either, i also checked the imeis, both of them are correct. Any other suggestions? Maybe, a reinstallation of the latest stock Rom? Though i really would prefer to avoid that since i dont want to ruin my warranty if it still doesnt work afterwards.

I suggest you to try with some other (new) SIM cards as well.
If you flash a stock ROM with SP Flash Tool, that will resolve any software related issue (if existed) and it won't void your warranty. So that's something is worth the effort to try. Choose the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher app, not the default 'Download Only'.

I Tried a different SIM card now, still the same issue. Then I flashed the newest stock Rom onto the phone, still doesn't recognize the SIM, it doesn't even show the pin window anymore when I activate/deactivate the flight mode. However it still detects the SIM for a split second after deactivating flight mode, it makes a sound and then the "SIM not inserted" appears again. Any more ideas?

Probably a pin (or multiple pins) of the SIM card slot has a bad contact by a slight deformation. However, that needs some skills and to disassemble your phone to readjust the pins. I suggest you to contact your reseller to help you resolve your issue.

Can you please explain all this procedure ?
I have a UMI diamond 6.0. I have a French sim card and a Turkish one, and both used to work perfectly well on my Windows phone. I am currently in France and my Turkish card won't work. I can't find 'setup' on my UMI diamond !

Thank you for your help.

This issue maybe caused by SIM slot pin damage or not contact well, can be consider to be Hardware issue.
