Hello,

I have my Umi Touch for about one week now. I got issues with bluetooth. Sometimes when I connect it to a bluetooth device, e.g. my car, the phone is still playing music from the phones speaker. Then I have to re-enable bluetooth or even reboot the phone until it's correctly playing from the cars speakers. I had three android phones so far with this car and no issues, so it's definetly a software bug of the Umi Touch.
Edit: I also have big issues with roaming. I'm in Germany and my carrier is O2, which means I also can use the E-Plus Network and the phone also automatically connects to it. Usually no problem, if you just turn on the "use mobile data while roaming" function, but sometimes the Umi Touch does not establish a data connection even with this setting and sometimes it takes minutes until I can recieve something while being connected to this "roaming" network.

Best Regards

Dear user,

I am sorry but by your description that was not clear, the data connection on one of your connected networks had never worked due to the wrong APN settings.
After doing tests with multiple, different BT audio devices (5x turn on and off each) we couldn't confirm your issue. Please, check your BT settings and the user's guide of your BT device.

Dear Gerrit507,

I suggest you to update your phone to the latest version via Settings --> About phone --> Wireless update if you haven't done it yet.
I also suggest to test other bluetooth audio devices with your phone to see if the same issues happen or not. Sometimes compatibility problems can happen due to the extensive variety of bluetooth devices.
You issue about roaming data is quite a specific one, that's hard to check and improve. I suggest you to reboot your phone when changing networks.

Sincerely,
Bence

First of all, I have the newest OTA. As I said, the bluetooth issue only happens with this phone, so it has to be a software problem.

Rebooting the phone when switching the network is not really an option because it is switching all the time between those networks. It's because O2 bought E-Plus but they're not willing to change the network names, so the phone always thinks it's in roaming. I know that there is a fix that the phone does recognize this network as a normal network but I could live with just leaving roaming data on, IF it would work fine. There is definetly an issue with roaming on this phone...

If your SIM card is unlocked for two different networks in the same country, I suggest you to set manually the one you want to use. You can be ensured about a software (or hardware) issue of your UMI Touch if you test it with some different BT audio devices and you experience the same issues.

Edited by Gerrit507 at 2016-5-13 20:02 \n\nI experienced no further issues with roaming so far. I installed the APN settings of my carrier, and I hope those settings fixed it. I will see it this evening when I go on the motorway and have lot of network changes... However, I can now 100% reproduce the bluetooth bug. 1. Connect to a bluetooth speaker/radio 2. Everything is ok, music is playing over bluetooth 3. Turn off the bluetooth device (not the phone) 4. Turn the bluetooth device back on 5. UMI Touch connects automatically 6. sound ist NOT playing from the bluetooth speaker, instead from the phone speaker 7. Reboot the phone, everything works fine again... Long story short: If you want to connect to a bluetooth device a second time, without rebooting, the connection works but the sound is still playing from the phone speakers
