Edited by haupha08 at 2016-5-1 19:05 \n\nHello guys,
my experience so far is, that the german tranlation is awefull and at most points incorrect.
So I am from Austria and use the phone in english because of the aweful german translation.
Maybe you can use a open translation where someone can submit right translations for german or get someone in your company with german skills.
Cause even if I set the language to german, there are parts in english and the translation is on so many points wrong.

The other point is the GPS: I was on a trip to Vienna yesterday and I cant follow the highway with the GPS. I got 19 signals from satellits. I dont know what is wrong here but please investigate.

Best regards,
haupha08

Dear,
Do you mean that if you set your phone to the German language, there are many wrong words showing in your phone?

The issue is, that several system messages and options (which were probably added by UMI to the stock Android) are in English only and not translated.

honestly, I did not noticed that so far.
Maybe you can point out which System Messages to make it easier for UMI to Fix the Change and maybe you can provide correct translation as our good old german isn`t an easy language ;)

For GPS: I tested it on weekend and on my phone it works fine.

Which SW Version are you using right now?
Did you installed lates OTA from 15 April?

I fixed the gps problem (gps lags), but I tried two ways, so I don't know, which way works.
One way was root and fasterGPS, and one other way, you can Google gps problem and mediatek chipset

The antennas problems with Umi is commom to all versions, included GPS, 4G and WI FI. The problem is very simple to solve. The problem is that the WI fi , 4G and GPL antennas are on the internal mother board plastic cover inside Umi.

You need to remove 1st cover, then this cover and you will see pieces of metal that are not enought up to touch the hardware connections of wi fi, 4g and Gps in the mother board, so once you close this cover you will see this pieces of metal dont touch it or stay only very close to it.

With an precision knife like X-act or other you need to pull this pieces of metal a little up on a way that they touch the hardware once you close it.

After this my GPs started worked more faster and accuratly then ever and 4G internet speed and ping goes to the roof . Amazing !

I have here some you tube videos explain how to open this cellphones and solving the antenna problem as well in a Umi model . In the side of the hardware motherboard it is written Gps . . .

And this one to see how to "Teardown" them ;
