Hi, UMI modos says that it could be related to glue : bencebasci says in another thread "

The CPU is located on the opposite side of the motherboard and on the upper left corner, not under that place where those spots are visible. Moreover, its heat can't cause a such issue, it's not that high value.
The spots are probably caused by a remainder of a small amount of glue or solvent used at manufacturing, and that material changes the refraction of the LCD surface.
The phone that I've got is absolutely not affected by this issue."

Need to be investigated.

I don´t think it the heat.
Glue or solvent could be the problem, but also pressure on the back of the screen could be the case.
If you look at the disassembly video http://community.umidigi.com/article-155-1.html
the white spots seem to correlate with the flat cables connection at the motherboard.
I´ve found similair reports in laptops which they repaired with suction on the back of the screen.

If it is pressure maybe it could be easily fixed. If it´s glue or solvent it´s a lot harder to fix without replacing the screen.
Here´s a video were they clean a bigscreen from white dots with toothpaste: https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&a ... k0C5HjDNTvET8A11GkA

Hope that we'll find the cause and a solution.

Everybody should have his opinion to know if they can live with such an issue.
In my mind, I think I will be able to live with that Screen Issue on my 130$ smartphone.

For other peoples, they can invoke manufacturing issue and ask for warranty.

As a conclusion, I think we can not be satisfied of such an approximation in conception ! I could have been perfect, but UMI made a common error... during the test phase, how can they have missed that ?

From my side I even could live with this issue of a 600$ smartphone (HTC One X in April 2012 and yellow, not just white spots) since it's visible only on a light and homogeneous color screen with full brightness. So I rather kept it then waited for a new phone for weeks.
So HTC (as well as some other brands) also missed a such issue while the testing phase was running. Maybe that can happen, maybe no one of the test devices suffered from this issue.
