Hi all,

I have the mobile for one day, and it seems to be potentially very good device, but I guess the SW needs to be polished a bit still;

What I discovered today is that when charging (or connected to the computer) and  using headset (I have stereo one with mic) it can be noticed some noise, throught the headphones.

For replicate the problem, it is just needed to connect the phone to either the computer or the charger, connect the headphones and listen to some music for example.

Can somebody confirm it?

Thanks very much

Carlos

BTW using SW Version UMI TOUCH.V3.03-201604

Thank you for your feedback. I leave this thread in place since it might be helpful or at least informative for others.

Hi Carlos,

I made some tests with three different chargers/cables and with four different headphones/earphones/earsets (Audiotechnica ATH-ES7, Monster Turbine, UMI Voix and KZ ZN1) but I couldn't reproduce your issue. Even with or without a charger/USB port connected, absolutely no noise comes from the background. Moreover, until now I loved my UMI eMAX for its astonishing headphones sound quality but this UMI Touch is even better.
I suggest you to try to use another headset and/or USB cable.

Regards,
Bence

Hi Carlos,

I made some tests with three different chargers/cables and with four different headphone ...

Actually I used just the only headset I have here around, the  Koss Porta PRO;  I will try with another one which I have at work tomorrow, and I will post the result. About the cables and adapter, I used two different cables and two different adapters with the same result... So I guess it may be my headphones ?

But Also I can confirm, that when I am not charging the phone, the sound is completely astonishing; I cannot remember to hear so nicely music from any phone (using the same Koss Porta PRO)...

Thanks once more

I can recommend any model of the brand KZ to replace your old Porta PRO. You'll be surprised.

Well, I could recommend my Audiotechnica ATH-ES7 but nowadays that's not a cheap one. That's not easy to find a pair of good quality on-ear headphones for a budget price - if that counts.

Dear,
Does the sounds come from the adapter when you charge your phone?

Dear,
Does the sounds come from the adapter when you charge your phone?

So,

I think as bencebacsi  suggest it seems that it's time to retire my old Porta PRO (I guess some grounding problem with the cables), today I tried with two different pairs of Sennheiser's and using the computer for charging, and now there is no noise at all, as I said before the audio quality is quite surprising... So you can may discard my complain
