gps and charging problems

im having very slow charging times using the factory charger and cable.
i have also tried using an ipad usb charger (2 amp) and a raspberrypi charger (2.5amps)
im seeing over 8 hour charge time? this cant be right?
using an app from the appstore- ampere i can see the phone only draws 470ma at most?
is this correct?can this be speeded up using a kernal or software modification with root, or is this a hardware limitation?


also very poor gps signal in uk. ive tried clearing agps data and standing outside uses only 6 sats at low signal?

In the case of UMI touch the hardware (as well as the current software) limits the charging current at about 1.4A, so your issue is not normal. Have you tried to use a different USB cable as well? A bad cable also can limit the charging current. If not the cable or the charger, then it can be a defection of the micro USB connector of your phone.
I have no news about the GPS yet. I will test it and look for solutions (if needed) as soon as I receive my Touch.
