Hi,

I am opening this new thread in a desperate hope that someone could help me, although I am pretty convinced that UMI has forsaken the clients that have bought products from them in the past.

Today I discovered a problem with my UMI Rome:
I bought a new Terraillon Web Coach Pop scale which uses bluetooth to connect to my UMI Rome, but when I try to pair the two devices, I get this error:
“Couldn’t pair with 01257045A0990A because of an incorrect PIN or passkey.”
I tried numerous times to connect them with no success and thought that the scale was defective. Then I got the idea to try my old Lumia 820 running Windows Phone 8.1 to see if it connects. Guess what? The connection was made instantly!
So this is the second major problem I am having with UMI Rome.
I attached some screenshots below...

I am starting to believe that this low price I paid for the device was not worth this lack of after-sales support.

Anyway, in case anyone has some helpful information about this problem, I will be forever grateful!

Hi,

Could you try something?, I can see on screenshots that you have 2 more devices paired. Could you try to remove these devices and then try to pair scale again?

Dear,
It seems that you have printed the incorrect PIN in your phone, could you please check your passkey and try again?

Were you asked by your phone to input the pass code? That can be 0000 or 1234 (depending on which one is programmed in your BT device), not your choice.

I eventually managed to fix the problem, although it took me a very-very long time. I don't know why this was a problem on Android, but I just know somehow it got fixed after numerous attempts and I don't know what I did differently... Thanks of trying anyway.
