I know from my Elephone P9000 I had the same problem, installing the drivers for MTK is somehow difficult.

SPFT is available for Linux, works great, no driver needed.

\n\nThanks Umidigi!! It looks like the pin, pattern password has been resolved. I still need to try setting up the 2 pins, patterns or passwords to see if that resolved both parts of the security. Guys, you shouldn't have jumped the gun and sent back you device, you have to give Umidigi time to get it figured out. I love my phone and knew they would get the issue resolved.
