How to update to v 1.7 and keep all data?

Hello,

Can someone explain step by step procedure to update to ROM version 1.7, but to keep all data (application data and other).

I would like to update OTA, but it looks that I would wait very long long time.

So please, can it be done and how?

Um, to keep your data? I would backup my phone, then flash the ota
some backup systems you can use can be found at this link http://lifehacker.com/how-to-fla ... 2Fwww.google.com%2F
Although that website is for android in general in general, it does list some systems you could use to save the data on your phone.
