Rootjoy doesn't work

I have installed Rootjoy on both laptop and desktop and niether work.
What do I do now ?

If you want to get the help of somebody, you should describe your issue in details: error messages, symptoms etc. You should disable your anti virus application until the installation finishes, then set Rootjoy as an experiment. This issue is already discussed here in other topics.

OK sorry.
I am using Ubuntu, downloaded Rootjoy and installed it using Wine.
Connected the phone to the laptop, and started Rootjoy.
Clicked Connect and the progress timer circled then said it failed to connect and to try again.
I did this several times with no luck.

Then my answer is quite simple: use Windows. I don't think that's a good idea to run a such app that needs to access specific hw drivers (usb adb) in an emulator.

Bruvver download a Windows ISO file and install VirtualBox on Ubuntu. with VirtualBox you can create a virtual machine inside your Ubuntu, Install windows on your VM and try to install Rootjoy ;-)

Do you have some tutorials on the web, try searching "how to install windows on VirtualBox"

I don't have any UMI's device to confirm that Rootjoy works on Virtual Machine, but I use this method with windows flash tools, and works fine

But SPFT (if you talk about that) uses emulated com port drivers, not adb drivers. Two different things.

I really like this device. Its working fine whenever I'm doing my instituting projects. I'm doing math tutoring on this device.
