Doubts .. ROOT and TWRP Android 7.1.1

I want to ask you something:


Is it possible to do Root and install TWRP having already updated to Android 7.1.1 by OTA?
Or do I have to blink Android 6.0 Stock and then blink the Android ROM 7.1.1 by Flashtool and then install the TWRP? ..

Yes its possible. I just done that with the process shared here on the forum for all umi phones.
