NO HEADPHONE JACK SOUND

Hi,Amongst other bugs i'm finding out each day with a new Umi Z

I have now lost sound from the Headphone Jack.

I have recently updated the software. Anything I can try before 'flashing' the complete device?

Out of interest, why has Umi released a phone with so many bugs; complaints are in abundance (i was expecting a fully working phone for $260)
