Problems with the audio

Hi,
when i plug in my headphones and for example play some Music
there is a VERY annoying sizzling sound in the background.
Is there anything I can do against this?

Hi n_w Pos,

Do you hear the noise only at the starting/changing of played tracks or all time while playing along the songs? Anyway, I suggest you to use headphones that have at least 32ohm impedance. Those entry level 16ohm headphones are very sensitive but also broadcast the noise gathered by the analogue circuits of the audio amplifier. UMI Voix is a 16ohm one despite that's advertised as 32ohm.

I definitely suggest you to try with some other headphones. If no other way, then borrow one from a friend. I'm also a UMI eMAX user anyway and that has better sound quality than my Cowon S9 player.

The Umi voix are ok on my laptop but totally crap on emax.  Glad I didn't actually pay for them.

UMI VOIX BLU is great with my eMAX, easily connect and quality sound.

Same happens with my eMax but only at the start or change of tracks. Any ideas?
