Edited by bu11et at 2017-5-7 06:14 \n\nHi There,
The power button on my umidigi z pro has stop clicking all of a sudden!
The button is loose... when I press the button it still switches the lcd display on or off but the button doesn't doesnt click its loose. The problem is when the phone is in my pocket the lcd display comes on automatically with the slightest movement of the button.

To fix this problem must i get another power button or can i open the phone and try to reseat the power button?

Thanks
Ahmed

Edited by JackDeth2 at 2017-5-8 06:15 \n\nIf you do open it, be very careful as I nearly destroid my power botton on one of the Z Pro's I have, Fixing the camera. It is now as you describe yours to be. (no click)
Hope I describe this correctly so you understand, here goes,
The power switch is not designed very well it's very delicate, when I opened mine it was litrally hanging off, the Volume buttons have a black tape over them that protects them from coming away. I traped it between the case when putting back together as it was flaping about. The top domed part of the switch that makes the click was only held on by one corner, so yours may have compleatly come unstuck too. I put it back on with some heat resitant tape that I have, it's very thin. I tried a small slither of electrical tape but that was too thick and power button was on all the time. So whats happening is the domed meatal part needs to be secured in each corner or side edge for it to push back against the button. if you get my meaning. As its so small about 5mm square, I couldent think of a way of securing it other than the tape.

Good luck
Wish I took some photos of it now.

Update... i didn't open the phone as yet. Instead i installed an original Umi Z silicone cover and it seems to have made a slight difference to the way the power button operates.

Here are two images, one of a Z Pro buttons from a video I found on youtube.
The other is of a button ribbon set from a different phone (just for comparison)
As I now know that not only was my camera faulty from new, but also my button ribbon strip. As like I described above, my power button was not covered with the black tape like material and was just hanging on. The photo here shows this persons Z Pro to be all 3 buttons covered.
The other pic here is just to show what my power button looked similar to.
