Extremely frequently (sometimes every minute or so, but sometimes not for a few hours) I receive a message titled "SD card ready" with the text "Do you want to change the default write disk?". At first I thought this was because my SD card is old and is beginning to fail. I bought a new SD card and transferred my data to it, but I get the same message.

My SD card is a Sandisk Class 10 card and it is brand new. Both the new card and the old card are 16GB. I am running the January OTA release of Andorid 7.

I'm reluctant to factory reset as it takes a long time to set up my apps, two-factor authentication with work, etc. Is there any way of testing whether this is a hardware problem or a software problem?

Edited by Finnboy at 2017-3-2 06:57 \n\nYep,I got that too, with a few different cards.
I think it was a poor contact between card and contacts in phone.
I cut a small bit of insulation tape and fitted it above the sim and memory card on the slider. This pushes card onto contacts slightly more.
It's cured it for me
