Is anyone else having this issue? My parents and I own three UMi Plus E devices, but none of them ever worked properly on MTP when connected in USB. My PC is running the latest Windows 10 version (1607, under the 14393 build).

When connected for the first time, it is recognized, but disconnects after about three seconds, and Windows seems to automatically install the drivers, but it never gets recognized by the desktop. In the phone, it shows itself as connected, but it doesn't work on Windows. In order to place files on the phone, it's required to connect it via PTP, and place the files in DCIM or Pictures (which are the only two folders recognized in PTP), and then redistribute them in the phone with a file manager.

I even attempted reinstalling Windows in order to check if this issue was not caused by any other software, and even with the MediaTek drivers being installed before anything else, this problem happened.

All the three devices are running on the latest system version (v3.01_20170112), and this same issue happened on previous versions (v3.01_20161217 and v3.01_20161227), too.

Hi,
Please check the following thread:

Hello!

Many thanks for your reply. It worked perfectly, as expected.

And I apologize for creating an unnecessary new thread for something that was already answered. Guess I didn't search the forums that well, heh. My bad.

Thanks again!
