Edited by gkbeetle at 2017-1-24 06:29 \n\nI bought the original UMI Plus + UMI Plus E flip cover.
IT seems to me that the settings -> Display -> S View Cover -> S View Cover settings do not work for the UMI Plus Extreme.
I calibrated sensor
I enabled all different options .... without success. I cant enable the Clock "under" the hole of the front cover side...
Do I miss something?

The problem comes from the magnet which is in the flip cover which is not powerful enough (picture 1) and is not detected by the magnetic sensor which is behind the screen. When a more powerful magnet is placed on the screen (picture 2), It is detected by the sensor and the clock is displayed. Do the test !

My question was the same in the Umi Plus section. I have this case also and I am not able to get the clock displayed. I am looking at a 'black spot' now where the clock should be. What is the purpose of making a case like this while it is of no use whatsoever?Unfortunately nobody reacts on my post. I guess nobody knows the answer. Not even UMI themselves as it seemes.

yes. and the ugly is that the sensor calibration clearly shows that the proximity sensor works perfectly inside the calibration menu. But when you leave the calibration menu and you go back to desktop than you clearly see that hiding the sensor with a finger or with the cover does nothing.

So I'm running the newest available OTA firmwareversion UMI Plus E.V3.01_20170112. and I read on other thread the tip to use the flash firmware.... I will not do this bingo game with less to no chance of success...

Does the proximity sensor work for anyone out there with the Plus E?
dont think so... hope any future updates will solve this... but last year with 4 UMI phones showes me that updates will only be available the first 1-3 months after first release...

Has someone an answer for this topic-question? It keeps awfully quiet so there are no problems or no one knows how to solve this.

Edited by Adriann at 2017-2-1 02:42 \n\n Edited by Adriann at 2017-2-1 02:40 \n\n Hi, I use the phone from the beginning of the year with an original UMI s-cover, that has came in the package of the phone. I have [size=32.4722px]V3.01_20170112 installed.

I have not problems with the clock in s-cover and with the player too, works fine.

I have a problem in talking with the cover close, my ear touch the red phone sign and shut down the conversation.

I think that is because there is not a howl in the cover for the proximity sensor!
Has everyone encountered that problem?

Does UMI send a proper/coplete s-cover to everyone that has bought that original cover?

What settings do you use for activating the clock for the s-cover case? Whatever I do, I can't get it done. Nothing works.

For me the S-Cover works in the wrong way. When I open the cover and flip it to the back I get the watch. I think UMI uses a hall Sensor and not the proximity sensor. I can't get any sensor software to display the function of this sensor. I tried taking the case of and holding it to the front, but there is no reaction on the front side only on the back.
