If you, like me, have been trying unsuccessfully to get xposed installed on your UMi Iron due to constant bootloops then this be the guide for you.
Let me preface this by stating that this method will wipe your Data (see Step 4). In other words it will be like a factory reset, all your apps will be deleted. Media is not affected tho (Music/Video) at least not for me. With that said, please ensure you have a backup via RootJoy or TWRP before you try this method.
RootJoy Tutorial - http://community.umidigi.com/for ... tid=159&fromuid=126
TWRP Tutorial - http://community.umidigi.com/for ... tid=543&fromuid=126
Step 1.
Download the necessary files to flash the Xposed Firmware on your device.
Save these files to your external SD card
I used the latest files from rovo89 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Files To Download:
xposed-v72-sdk22-arm64.zip
xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64
XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4
Step 2.
Install TWRP via the tutorial linked above. Once flashed successfully in Flashify your device will automatically reboot into your new TWRP recovery.
2b.
Anyone else who already had TWRP installed and need to boot into recovery can do the following. Turn off device, once off then hold Volume Up button + Power button. Once you see menu then use Volume Up button to select Recovery and hit Volume Down to confirm your selection.
Step 3.
In TWRP tap Install
Navigate to you SDCard by tapping Select Storage at the bottom of the screen then selecting Micro SD
Click on the file you downloaded earlier: xposed-v72-sdk22-arm64.zip
Swipe to Install
If successful then you will be prompted to reboot once done.
DO NOT REBOOT YET PLEASE READ STEP 4 FIRST.
Step 4.
There are Three (3) options at this point:
1) You can either choose to Reboot to see if your device boots into the Android system or if it bootloops as it did for me….
2) While still in TWRP hit the back button to return to the Main Menu
Choose Wipe then Advanced and select Dalvic Cache, Cache, Data
Swipe to confirm
Once done Reboot System
If you still get bootloops then go back to recovery and wipe Dalvic Cache, Cache, Data again. I had to do it twice to get it to work on my Iron.
UPDATE:
Device wipe is possibly no longer necessary. I've tested this twice and both times have been successful.
3) New Additional Option (may not work for all but I've tested twice and this worked both times)
Xposed has a SafeMode option which allows you to disable Xposed if you have bootloops. To do this you need to repeatedly press (do not hold) one of your hardware buttons (Power or Volume Up or Volume Down) while the device is starting up (during the blue UMi boot logo). You don't need to press them all just pick ONE.
Press any of the above buttons during boot and your device will vibrate twice when it detects the first key press.
You now have five (5) seconds to press that same button again four (4) more times. Each time you press the button the phone will vibrate for a short period.
After the fourth button press you will get a long vibration to let you know it's worked and Xposed is in SafeMode.
Your device will now continue to boot into Android and you will see 'Optimizing Apps'.
Once you successfully boot into Android then you can go ahead and install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk file you downloaded.
Reboot your device to re-enable Xposed framework and your all set.

Good Luck.
Thanks to ElLollo for posting the solution to fix bootloop by wiping Dalvik Cache, Cache and Data. See his post here: http://community.umidigi.com/for ... id=3755&fromuid=126
FYI - Latest v75 (xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64) works great.
Here is a thread with a list of xposed mods that work on Lollipop 5.1.
